Sharks Would Like to Repay Flames in Kind in San Jose

SAN JOSE -- The Sharks, to a man, can pinpoint their biggest flop of the season: It was a 4-0 loss at Calgary late last month.

"Any time a team beats you like that, you want to give it back to them," Sharks wing Dany Heatley said after San Jose's morning skate on Saturday.

"That was our worst game of the year," defenseman Dan Boyle said. "We were coming off back-to-back wins on the road, two of our better games, and we just put together our worst effort. And all four goals came in the first period.

"It was just one of those nights where we didn't compete. I don't think the desire or effort was there."

That will be different Saturday night at HP Pavilion, Boyle said, where the Sharks won't take anything for granted: Not the Flames' recent stumble (they've lost five of their past six) or the fact that Calgary played Friday night in Los Angeles.
